I LOVE getting festive & Valentines Day is like the cutest holiday to get festive with. So, here is my festive post!
1. Loving the pink smoothies I made. mixed berries, carrots, coconut juice, water, pomegranate seeds, plain Chobani. In recycled bottles, of course.]
2. My pink yoga mat!
3. Pink blouse. I love blouses, and pink.
4. This quote. I LOVE life, so what better holiday to express that? :))
I’m a little sad because I won’t be celebrating w/ my lovey this Valentines Day so I need ideas ladies [and men] on what to make him! [preferably sweets.]
Maybe it’s the changes that I see in my body, energy, state of mind, etc. that motivates me or maybe it is all of you wonderful fellow bloggers that just gave me the extra push, but I have NEVER been so motivated in my life.
My workouts have changed so much and I am eating crazzzy delicious, healthy, foods. It is crazy because my body literally cravesss this food.
Grapefruit, blackberries, and 1/2 a banana for breakfast.
Coffee w/ coconut milk.
Egg white omelette filled w/ spinach and light mozzarella.
Green tea w/ tbls of Apple Cider Vinegar.
Lunch was a smoothie w/ plain Chobani, mixed berries, coconut milk, flax seed, 1/2 a banana.
Dinner, 1/2 a turkey club on whole-wheat (no bacon, add avocado)
Green tea w/ tbls of Apple Cider Vinegar
Ran 15 minutes
Walked at an incline of 9 for 15 minutes
Squats & tons of other leg exercises in the studio
Then, I worked for 5 hours (cocktail waitress). This is my part time job for some extra cash while I student teach & what I did through out college. I count it as a little light cardio :))
[Breakfast this morning]
[Me, cheering on my boyfriend’s baseball team! I added this in here because he is a HUGE source of my motivation. Go Irish!]
What makes a Sunday morning so relaxing?! I just love Sundays & I love waking up and enjoying my coffee (not hungover) and feeling happy after a wonderful weekend. As I stated in my post a few days ago, my brother is in the military and was able to come home yesterday! YAYY!
Last night we went to the Black Forest Inn, as a fam, and it was wonderful. This place is an authentic German Inn and it is sooo cool. When at a place, such as this, I feel it is important to indulge in the culture a little bit but still keep it under control.
Before I picked him up at the airport, I got an hour workout in and made sure to push it extra hard. At dinner I had two glasses of German wine and had one potato pancake (there was no negotiating this one). For dinner I had the special which was a juicy pork chop with plum sauce w/ a side of sauerkraut (only ate 1/2 and boxed the rest) & I subbed a side salad.
For the rest of the day I will relax, read your blogs, and drink coffee (& probs get a workout in). HAPPY SUNDAY!!
Good morning blogger babess! & HAPPY Wednesday :))
I am on cloud 9 right now. If you read my blog yesterday, you know I took my LAST final ever & was moving two hours to the Twin Cities. I am still unpacking and getting settled in, but I am taking time this morning to enjoy the snow, drink coffee, and take in all of this happiness.
Now that I am done with college, I am going to be starting my career as a high school Bio teacher. But, I have the WHOLE next month off. My plans:
Continue baking, but start using healthy substitutes! I bake a lot but have never substituted for healthy ingredients, so I am begin to research…TODAY! (Can not wait to blog about it).
Focus on getting in the best physical condition I can in the next month to kick start the new year, and get my body great shape that I can maintain when my schedule starts to get busy again.
BLOG! I am so excited to bake, cook, workout, & BLOG all about it! & keep up with all of yours!
[My first meal in the new place, was a spinach salad w/ a chicken breast & Bleu Cheese dressing, and of course some Pinot Noir to celebrate! w/ ice cubes to make me drink slower]
I am packing up my apartment & moving 2 hours away to the Twin Cities.
I am moving there because in January I start student teaching and starting my career as a high school Biology teacher!!
I will FINALLY be back at Lifetime, where I can get back into a consistent routine of Yoga, Barre, etc. This small town where I go to college doesn’t have many options as far as work out facilities so for the past 2 months I have been focusing primarily on cardio.
I am SO excited to have this new beginning!!
Now I will drink my coffee & study a little more and then finish packing until my final at 330pm. After my final, I will begin my drive!
Can not wait to blog by the fire, drinking tea, and getting cozy with the cats tonight!
Today I reached 50 followers! I know that isn’t much, but it is so exciting for me! It really is motivation to try even harder, knowing that 50 people are behind me and also on the search to be the healthiest they can be! THANK YOU ALL! There is nothing I love more than getting comments & responding and reading your posts about your triumphs and tribulations. This post is going to be reflective of where I have come, thus far.
adjective ( healthier , healthiest )
in good health: : feeling fit and healthy.
• indicative of, conducive to, or promoting good health : a healthy appetite | a healthy balanced diet.
• (of a person’s attitude) sensible and well balanced : a healthy contempt for authority.
There are a couple KEY points I got out of that definition:
Adjectives: healthier, healthiest. This is an ongoing search to be the best health I can be, becoming healthier and the healthiest I have ever been.
[A girl friend & I last night, I am on the right!]
Last night was one of my girl friend’s birthday, so we went out to eat at Mangos (a mexican restaurant in town). Normally I don’t drink Margs (soo much sugar) but I couldn’t go to a mexican restaurant & drink vodka?!
So, I let myself have a DELICIOUS marg & my girlfriend & I split chicken fajitas. The portions are huge, so we always split.
Of course after the marg came a few tequila shots at the bar & let’s just say, I’m not feeling the greatest today. But, it was worth it and I balanced with water as much as I could or I would be a lot worse.
Today I am going to pay for it in the gym. I had whole-wheat pasta for lunch (soaking up some of that residual Jose) & for dinner I am going to have an egg-white omelette with spinach, avocado, and some mozz. VERY low carb after last nights dinner.
How do you all recover from your indulgences?! : )
[I know I’ve posted this before, but SUCH a good reminder when I am feeling guilty.]
I never feel envious of these ladies, or feel bad for myself while watching. They work so hard for those bodies, eating clean, working out, etc. Just because we are not Victoria’s Secret Models & get paid to look like that, we can sure try to eat that clean and work out that hard!
Some of Victoria’s Secrets:
Eat ONLY whole, clean foods.
No processed foods sugar or alcohol.
4-6 meals/snacks per day
Work on getting lean/long muscles.
Be confident! & do NOT give up.
This is the perfect motivation to make yourself work HARDER, just in time for the new year.
How will you all be watching it?! & anyone have any of Victoria’s other secrets?!
